More of the same

At what point will the Israeli government truly realize it cannot win over Hamas or Hizbollah through diplomatic means? Trading land or prisoners has never won Israel a peace with it's neighbors, yet they continue to utilize this failed policy. Relying on the "world community" to defend them is the equivalent to having a few drinks and letting Ted Kennedy give you a ride home. Pure lunacy and suicide.

How many cease-fires and truces must be violated before Israel faces up to the fact that their neighbors want them gone? This is not the ranting of a hatemonger. This is an opinion based on historical fact. Israel's neighbors give money, arms, and training to terrorist groups to practise their trade in Israel. The use of Hamas, Hizbollah, Al Aqsa, and Islamic Jihad allows the Islamists a bogus deniability while still vocally supporting their "rights". Iran and Syria do not care one iota for the "Palestinians" or the the members of the operating terror groups. They are nothing more than canon fodder and a tool to be used against the Zionist entity. Anyone who hasn't realized that by know is plain ignorant.

Mahmoud Abbas still carries no true authority within the new "unity government". Khalid Mashaal is pulling the strings in Damascus under the guidance of Bashir Assad and his overlord Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Hassan Nasrallah is still awaiting word to go back on the offensive. The powder keg that is the Middle East is about ready to erupt and consume the entire planet. Meanwhile the Israeli government ponders and tries to come up with plans so they can give away more of their nation and make it harder to defend.

I have no problem with Israel being a Jewish nation. It is hypocritical of so-called diplomats to complain about this when there are Islamic nations that surround it. Unfortunately there appear to be Jewish Israelis that are embarrassed by this. This is tragic considering the reason for the founding of the country in the first place (both 1948 as well as a few thousand years ago).

The diplomatic route has failed. All resolutions seem to be going against Israel and the "Palestinians" are gaining an even stronger voice. "The squeaky wheel gets the oil". There's another option available; replace the wheel. It's time Israel replace the wheel.

Who says they act as humans?

This morning I read an article about a "Human Rights" activist claiming that the "Palestinians" aren't being treated as human beings by the Israelis. This accusation seems to be one of those that gets used often without any thought into what it means. It is often used to bring attention to what the accuser wants to have the focus at the moment. It often disregards the event or events that led to the present situation in the first place. It also tends to ignore actions that would de-legitimate the accusation. Example: A person on death row gets to reap the benefits of anti-death penalty activists and becomes their token to the world. The victims of this condemned man are placed in the background or thrown out all together. Although the execution cannot bring back the lives of the victims, the condemned has shown his disdain for life and has ceded the rights to his own. And yes, I have every right to judge a man's actions.

The "Palestinians" are reaping what they have sown. They have allowed themselves to be used and manipulated. They have been part of a maniacal violent arm of the Despots and Islamists in the region. They have planted violence and destruction and are now eating of it's fruits. Unfortunately they directed this at one tiny entity in the region. This entity, Israel, has done it's best to defend itself without committing to all out war. If the "Palestinians" would cease launching rockets and homicide attempts in Israel the violent tide would recede and there would be calm, at least in a tiny region. But they refuse to do this. In response they continue to face internal decimation as well as Israeli missions to take out known terrorists and their cells. Israel did not create this situation, the "Palestinians" and their handlers did.

If a human being were to attack me I would kill him. This is as human as one can get. Self defense and preservation. Attacking a person that poses no threat nor wants to do you harm is in-human. Therefore the "Palestinians" are not acting as humans and are deserving of what they receive. In fact Israeli retaliation should be stronger and more firm than what they have committed until this point.

The "diplomatic community" may be willing to sip their wines and eat their cheeses while people commit atrocities and die as tools of evil. This does not mean a nation should sit back and wait for UN approval to defend itself. In fact, it's time to scrap all of these rules of war that are nothing more than a moronic attempt to civilize something that is not intended to be civil. To allow your enemy to breath means that they will return later angrier and wiser and more intent on your destruction.

Israel and Samson

Samson lives among us. It is my belief that the nation of Israel is among us to be a constant reminder of the Almighty and the power he has. This belief is what leads me to great melancholy when I see how Israel has conducted itself recently. For whatever reason it has made me remember the story of Samson.

Samson was brought into this world to start the Israelis on the path toward their, for lack of a better word, salvation. The power he was given was unmatchable. The only thing that could diminish this power was shaving his hair. After suffering embarrassment from his first wife and then finally giving in to the constant pestering of Delilah, he was finally subdued by the Philistines, who took out his eyes, and taken to Gaza to be put on display and ridiculed. In one final act he returned to the Almighty, who gave the power necessary, and killed more Phillistines in this final act than he had his entire life.

The modern Israel came into existence out of atrocity. It was born into a war with it's neighbors who despised it and what it may represent. It was a reminder to the surrounding nations that they were weak and corrupt. After finally realizing that it cannot be subdued through force, the neighbors have tried subterfuge. As Samson initially responded to Delilah's efforts, it refused to give in. It appears that now Israel is ready to publicly expose it's weakness for it's enemies to bound it in chains and place it up for ridicule.

Does Israel have, at the very least, the faith that Samson had to ask the Almighty for one last burst of power to rid itself of it's enemies? When the story of Samson is told it is often given as one of tragedy and wasted ability. It is told as a tale of selfishness. The beginning and the end of Samson is opposite of the rest of his life. His life begins and ends with hope. The years in between are internal battles that many of us face daily, although not on the grand scale. The Nation of Israel is presently in the position of providing Delilah the information needed to subdue it.

Will Israel give up that which the Almighty has given it? Only Israel knows. Will Israel sacrifice it's locks in order to have a slave's peace? Only Israel knows.

No Peace. Get used to it.

Despite all the rhetoric and political games being conducted, there will not be peace in the Middle East. To all of you who believe in "peace at any price" and "the absence of war is peace", poppycock! The Israeli-Palestinian conflict will not be resolved without a major war and the annihilation of one of the people. Diplomats who place their heads in the clouds and the hearts in the bank are only delaying the fact not changing it. This may be considered a defeatist attitude or worse. So be it. In reality, it is reality.

In order to attain peace diplomats change the definition of peace. Not being in a fight doesn't mean you are at peace. When you have to constantly look over your shoulder you are not safe. To be truly at peace one has to feel safe. Safe from external and internal battles. This is nowhere near to existing in the Middle East. As each day passes the next war draws nearer. This is a fact that can be explained away but it is fact.

The Palestinians are setting themselves up to being a victim. Their assailant? Themselves. Their ignorance and hatred fueled by the financial and military support of their Islamist brethren. Israel is not perfect but it is good. It is surrounded by evil that wishes to see G-d's people decimated and driven out. Before they achieve this there will be war on a scale we can't even imagine. The boys of mohammad will find that their allah won't have the power to stop one bullet let alone a barrage of missiles that will empty the desert.

Until then, we will go about with business as usual. The bad guys will claim victimization as they continue to be the aggressor. The good guys will continue to do their best to abide by their ethics as they watch their people die slowly each day. Then the big boom will happen.

Liviu Librescu, Thank You

While driving into work this morning I was listening to Mr. Bill Bennett taking phone calls on the recent event in Blacksburg. The main topic of discussion was the actions and perceived inaction's of Mr. Liviu Librescu and his students. In the last few days I have learned that Mr. Librescu was an holocaust survivor and has been a lecturer in mathematics, engineering science, and mechanics. When I first learned that He was a holocaust survivor all I could think about was the irony of the situation. He had survived one of the most atrocious events in human history only to be killed by a psychotic young man.

Some of the calls that Mr. Bennett was taking derided the response of the students. To summarize, people expected these young people to charge head on against the maniac. This may make good movies but is unbelievable in real life. A young person, no matter how macho they try to portray themselves, lacks experience and knowledge to respond to this type of situation the way these people expected. On the other hand Mr. Librescu, having survived a situation of possible death, responded in the manner of a Courageous, Honorable Man.

Mr. Librescu is a true man, and not just any man. He is a Good Man. The word hero gets used so often today for trivial matters that the meaning of the word has been diluted to a point of comedy. Mr. Librescu did what is inherent in true men, he defended and did his best to protect those in his charge. He was the authority and leader in the classroom. To abdicate that responsibility in this situation would have been beyond cowardly. In his formative years Mr. Librescu would have seen firsthand the sacrifice made by others in order to protect him. The older people within the death camps would have done what they could to keep him as safe as possible. He probably also saw the cowards who would sacrifice others to save their own skin. The disdain that the cowards would have received during enslavement and after release would have been a lesson that the majority of people would never have to experience. Mr. Librescu learned what true courage and honor is.

It is inherent among the male of our species to protect and defend. Despite the modern day metrosexual, there are still men walking this planet that will defend the weaker among us. Not through words or vacuous self promoting actions. There are men that will place themselves between the victim and danger. There are men who will sacrifice their lives so that others may live. These men do not seek this out. They don't look to be heroes or praised by the public. They are men that go about their daily lives looking after their families and friends. They are the men we see every day. They may be the men that are ridiculed for their old fashioned way of looking at life.

As I mentioned, expecting the students to charge the gunman was unrealistic and only happens in Hollywood. The students in that classroom did exactly has they should have, they listened to the voice of experience and the leader of the group. They followed the instructions of a Man that took the lead and lived up to his responsibility. They submitted themselves to the will of a man who was willing to sacrifice himself so that they may have a future. These students will now carry this with them for the rest of their lives. What I want to see is what type of people these students become. What sacrifices will they give in the future.

The students of Mr. Librescu's class did exactly as they should and have nothing to be ashamed of. With the evil that was walking through that building, G-d showed his hand. It carried more power and strength than semi-automatic weapons. It protected life as opposed to taking it. G-d acted through Mr. Liviu Librescu. G-d put a man on display for others to see and emulate. The light in the darkness.

When reading of Mr. Librescu the first thing to come to my mind was the poem IF by Rudyard Kipling.

Amateur Analyst

"Mashaal's ultimate goal is to take over the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and become the next Yasser Arafat and become the supreme Palestinian leader," the official said. The official added that Mashaal's attempt to turn into a pragmatist was part of a "devious plot" and that he had not really abandoned his radical anti-Israel views.

If you have read any of my previos posts about Khalid Mashaal, either here or at Biga's Rants, you know what I think of Khalid Mashaal. Also, I have been claiming that he is setting himself up to take over the PLO. Thinking out of the box, try this scenario:

The split within Hamas may be real or a ruse. It really doesn't matter. Mashaal will use this as a way to strengthen Hamas and put it in control of the PLO. With a three way split, there will continue to be battles, figurative and literal, between them. Also, this places Fatah as the immediate enemy. One of the factions will at least attempt to assassinate Mahmoud Abbas. It will not be the faction that Mashaal is heading up. This allows him to distance himself from the killing and he will retaliate, making himself look like a "true defender" of the "Palestinians". Upon "finding" the men responsible, he will ensure their death. This prevents them from ever talking. They may not even realize they are being used in such a manner. They will end up dead. Killed by the very men that sent them to conduct the assassination.

Once the assassins are in the gorund, Mashaal will be rewarded for his "magnamimity" and put in charge of the PLO. This puts us right back to the Arafat era. In fact this may be worse. Mashaal will ensure that he has complete and utter control over the "Palestinians" as opposed to the figurehead that Arafat played. The amount of suicide bombers and the propaganda that will be spewed forth will be unmatched by anything in history. Mashaal will declare to all that the "Palestinians" are the true victims and legitimate real attacks on Israel. The day of Kassam rockets and single bombers will end.

Granted, I have no degree's in being an International Affairs Analyst. I have nothing that would lead me to believe I am an expert in any of these affairs. I am intentionally trying to not think like a International Affairs Expert. These experts are what put us in this situation in the first place.

My Israeli Brothers and Sisters

Israel is the homeland of G-d's chosen people. This is what I believe. This belief is founded in my faith of the accuracy of the Bible. To many people this would be a weak basis for a belief. Due to my experiences my belief has been strengthened. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, have provided me with needed answers when times have gotten hard. It has provided me with with much needed insight of the human condition. It has given me discipline as well as compassion. It has provided me with pride as well as humility. This inspired word of G-d, which I believe it is, has kept me from the pit falls of life. There are no words to describe the affect the Bible has had on me. The Bible has made my life easier and better. Being left to my own resources I would have given up a long time ago.

G-d chose the Hebrew people because of their faith in him. The relationship between the Jews and G-d is similar to the relationship of any other Father and his son. When the son chooses to leave the fathers protection and guidance catastrophes occur. When they return to the Father all is made well. Being G-d's people has made them the envy of billions of people and millions of religious sects. G-d promised them land and he delivered. Now it appears that the Israelis are willing to give all of this up. This is very unwise. Denying a gift from the Almighty usually ends in death of some kind.

Being a Christian I am adopted into this family. I do not supplant the Israeli. I have not taken over the inheritance nor negated the covenants. I am just an extra mouth to feed. I am the child that asked to be taken in and have agreed to live by the master's rules. In response he treats me as his own. Being his creation in the first place this is only natural. Being a member of the family I have brothers and sisters that I am responsible for and to. And the good part is they are the same towards me. This is not always easy for either of us. Jealousy, envy, anger, and all the other vices of humanity often get in the way. These sins often spoil our relationship and get in the way of true familial love. This, however, does not relieve us of our duties towards each other. We may have problems accepting it but G-d refuses to negate it.

We are all children of the creator. He will deal with us as he sees fit. Whether we acknowledge his omnipotence or not is a non factor in his truth. A person can deny the truth but it doesn't negate the truth. 2+2=4. Everyone can claim it equals 5 but that doesn't make it true. I will defend the Israeli's anyway I can. They are my brothers and sisters. I will chastise when they are wrong and will fight their enemies when they are right. But just like any other family I can badmouth my brother but you can't.

They're no heroes, she's a traitor

The 15 Brits have been returned home. I am happy for the families that have been reunited with their children. However, I believe that Britain just took it on the chin. The appearance of these hostages made it to the television set too fast. I don't know what threats were made if any but I have a hard time believing that trained military individuals apparently just gave in to the enemy. I will not label these people as cowards because I do not know what they were being told. Though, why they would believe what they may have been told is beyond me.

These people are not heroes though. They did give in and it didn't appear that they even had a scrape or a minor bruise to show they held their own for even a tiny minute. These people are no more heroes than the three American soldiers that were captured during the Bosnian. Those men didn't fire a shot and allowed themselves to be captured. The worst part of this embarrassment was when they were rewarded with medals upon their return to the US. This action denigrated the actions of true heroes that fought to their death. A soldier who refuses to fight when his life is in peril is not a true soldier.

Nancy Pelosi is now the terrorists favorite American politician and the Democratic party is the party of choice amongst homicide bombers. Rep. Pelosi's actions in Syria were traitorous. It is not her duty or responsibility to deal with foreign leaders. This task sits with the State Department. The fact that she passed bogus information from Israel to Syria is proof of her being on a selfish agenda driven trip. Wearing the cover over her head didn't make her look like an innocent Grandmother it made her look like an idiot. Abraham Lincoln revoked the citizenship of a politician who acted against the Union. Unfortunately no one has this courage today.

Now the democrats are going to attempt to lay all the blame of a pending veto on the war funding bill at the Presidents feet. $24 billion in pork barrel spending and a timeline for withdrawal are unacceptable. This is pure fraud and blackmail. This is murder as far as I am concerned. The House and the Senate have shown themselves to not support the troops. Their socialist view on the world is more important that the children of America.

Why not get a job?

How is it that the "Palestinians" have time to make and place bombs but not setup an economy? Instead of setting up business and trade the "Palestinians" go to the borders to instigate and agitate the IDF. How does any of this make sense? How much money did Israel and outside donors give to provide a workable economy for the "Palestinians" only to watch it get destroyed after the Israeli withdrawal? How many millions went to waste on a people who spend all of their time and their blood claiming to be victims?

Hamas
, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade's primary mission is to destroy the entire nation of Israel. They don't care about building a nation. They don't care about setting up an economy. They could care less about helping the "Palestinian" people having a normal life and family. All they care about is killing Israelis and anyone that sides with the Israelis. We see proof of this over and over and over. When is the "world" going to realize this? How many have to die needlessly so "Palestinians" can maintain their self declared victimhood?

It's time for a major "disproportionate response". Until the Islamist is faced with his own destruction their will be no resemblance of peace. Even then there will only be stability as long as they are kept in serious check.

Mashaal needs to be taken out

Jordan is now fearing Khalid Mashaal. It appears Mashaal is attempting an Arafat-esque approach of attaining more power.

I have been a big fan of assassinating this man for quite some time. He is an instigator and a power hungry madman. The Mecca Accords worked in his favor and actually showed how much power he has already attained in the region. Ismail Haniyeh is nothing more than his puppet and Mahmoud Abbas his servant. Both will be discarded when they no longer serve a purpose. Abbas will be eliminated first.

Mashaal should have left the world of the living a long time ago. He is a survivor and a murderer. A bullet in the head is to good for this man. He needs to suffer the way the victims of his onslaught have suffered. A slow burning death while his body is slowly consumed in pain. Ridding the earth of Mashaal will not eliminate the Islamic terrorist threat. It will eliminate one of it's better perpetrators. It would also send a very strong warning to anyone willing to take over his position.

Mashaal
must never be considered a political figure. He is a murderer plain and simple. His death would be a positive for the region and the war on Islamo-fascism.

Nothing but cowards

Diplomacy this diplomacy that. Tony Blair says that the diplomatic door for the release of the 15 Brits is open. What diplomacy is needed? The Iranians kidnapped the Brits and then put them on Television with a "confession". The only thing that needed to be done was releasing the Brits. In fact, they should never have been taken in the first place.

Now an Iranian diplomat that was taken in a raid on the Iranian liaison office has been freed. Why do I get a bad feeling about this. When this raid occurred who were the forces going after?

According to the report, the US raid on an Iranian liason office in Arbil, in which five of the office's employees were taken captive, actually intended to apprehend two officials of much higher rank - Muhammad Jafari, deputy head of the Iranian National Security Council, and General Minojahar Frouzanda, head of Iranian Revolutionary Guard intelligence.

It looks to me like forces were trying to capture men who were contributing, and possibly running, the sectarian violence taking place in Iraq. Instead they had to settle for some little fish. What do our British friends have to say about it?:

Also Tuesday, the British "Independent" reported that the British hostage crisis was the result of hostilities between Iran and the coalition forces in Iraq set off in January by an alleged US attempt to abduct two of Iran's leading security figures in Iraq.

So coalition forces are going after instigators of violence and the Iranians respond by kidnapping soldiers in Iraqi waters and then scream to allah that they were in Iranian waters. That's as lame of an excuse anyone can come up with. But then again that's part of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's approach to everything. He's a spoiled punk with power.

I have a bad feeling that the remaining diplomats in custody will be released and the 15 Brits will follow. So much for not dealing with terrorists. The largest supporter of terrorism is going to win this round. The west is cowering at the feet of Islamic terror. People are too busy with their IPods and Internet to face the enemy. They'd rather enjoy driving their $60,000 cars and drink their $500 bottle of wine than have at it with a bunch of vicious punks that are leading us to the brink of extinction. What a wonderful world we have built.

Why I have no qualms with Killing

I will be stopping in to post back at my homesite here. I miss the "old community".

Iraq’s Assyrian Christians face extinction four years after the toppling of Saddam, says Ed West
“When they cook a dish in the Middle East, it is traditional to put the meat on top of the rice when they serve it. They kidnapped a woman’s baby in Baghdad, a toddler, and because the mother was unable to pay the ransom, they returned her child – beheaded, roasted and served on a mound of rice.” The infant’s crime was to be an Assyrian, but this story, reported by the Barnabus Fund, went unnoticed in the West, like so many other horrific accounts of Christian persecution in Iraq.

This is one of those stories that I wish is not true. However, seeing how those barbarians treat each other makes this story more than plausible. By calling them barbarians is demeaning to true barbarians. There is no way that negotiations can be conducted with these people. The religious war we are in the midst of will not end until one of the religious sides is beaten into oblivion. Let no politician downplay the fact that we ARE in a religious war. It wasn't secularists that flew into the Twin Towers. It isn't secularists that are sending their children to blow themselves up. It isn't a secularist that is capturing children and serving them up as the story relates.

A bullet to the head is too nice for these scumbags. Let them suffer as they have tortured others. A slow, painful, agonizing death. Put it on display in the neighborhoods for all to see. Let those mongrels hear the screaming and crying. Only the pathetic excuses for diplomats can ever read a story like this and feel sorry for the terrorists. These people cannot be "cured". They can't be dealt with. They can't be allowed to win. Kill them all.
